How do different countries ensure the safety of their food? Where can you find an overview of their administrative structures in food and feed safety? What attitudes do Europeans have towards the safety of their food and what risks do they perceive in this regard?

The information portal oursafefood.de of the German EFSA Focal Point, the contact point of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) in Germany, provides information on issues relating to food and feed safety in Europe.

In the BfR World Food Safety Almanac, for example, 38 countries currently present their food safety systems, thereby facilitating European and international cooperation in this area.

The Eurobarometer analyses the perceptions and attitudes of the European population with regard to food safety in Europe. The results of the Eurobarometer survey show, for example, which information channels are used by consumers to find out about possible health risks in the food chain.

News from EFSA can be obtained through the EFSA Focal Point newsletter. Information on European efforts to promote the exchange of knowledge between EU Member States through the EU-FORA Fellowship Programme can also be found on the information portal.
