Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI): the French health authorities are pursuing their actions and stepping up their cooperation in the face of the risk of circulation of a virus adapted to humans
In recent months, an increase in the number of cases of transmission of the HPAI virus to humans has been observed internationally. Against this backdrop, the Ministry of Health and Access to Healthcare, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Santé publique France and the Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire de l'alimentation, de l'environnement et du travail (ANSES) are stepping up their cooperation in the prevention and control of HPAI viruses.

Bird flu detected in border area of Belgium
Bird flu has been detected at a laying hen farm in Sint-Gillis-Waas, East Flanders, just across the border in Belgium. Belgium has established a restriction zone, the surveillance part of which is partly on Dutch territory. Therefore, a surveillance zone was established by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature (LVVN) in the contiguous area in the Netherlands, below Hulst in the province of Zeeland. The farm in Belgium will be culled.
