Exceeding pesticide limits is unusal
The Swedish Food Agency's monitoring of pesticide residues in food on the Swedish market in 2022 and 2023 shows that the trend from previous years is continuing - few samples contain pesticides above the limit value.

Confirmation of a case of tularaemia in a haree
In 24 March 2025, a hare was delivered to the ‘Wëlldéier Drop-off’ in Junglinster and died shortly after its arrival at the ‘Centre de soins pour la faune sauvage’. Following further laboratory tests at the Veterinary and Food Laboratory (LVA), the rabbit was officially confirmed to be infected with tularaemia on 3 April 2025.
